Briggs Cunningham was a mans man. He tried to become the first all American racing team to win at Le Mans, In a car built by himself, and got as close at 3rd place overall, only bested by the Jaguar D-types with their awe inspiring Dunlop Disc brake setup. He was also big into Yatching, infact he the 1958 America's Cup.

Some friends of mine are mechanics for a prestigious collection that houses most of the Cunningham cars, from the C series, to Maserati Birdcage, the 1950 Lemonstre, and even a road going Cunningham.

I hope you all Wiki John Fitch ,and Briggs Cunningham, you might just read about what true racers were in the day. I met John Fitch, and he is a laid back guy, who loves attention, having his photo's taken, and of course, driving, any chance he gets, he goes out on a track, and still has it at age 94!! Infact, I think I might just roadtrip this summer to go meet with him. I know where he is, who's in?
