Nobody deserves the win if you can't score in OT. Obviously they can't keep playing 20 minute OT periods until someone scores either. This year seems loaded with shootouts, it's like teams are playing differently. I think the last 4 Flyers games have gone to shootout and the last 3 Penguins games as well. If you really think one team should deserve the extra point for a win, make them score to prove they deserve it. Ties were always a normal part of hockey and if one team scored in OT they got the extra point. I think the 4 on 4 in OT was a great change, but the shootout is worthless.
