What about a older 9 bolt out of a 3rd gen? I had one in my 88 GTA and was told they hold up better then a 10bolt and you can get one from the junk yard for about the same price as a 10 bolt.. Might last a little longer untill you get a real rear end!!

third gen rears are narrower than a 4th gen. besides that i dont think it would direct bolt in anyway.
