The Toyota (Scion) FT-86 II concept...

http://jalopnik.com/#!5793887/scion-...w-toyota-ft+86

Ok, I'm ready.

Been watching Toyota-Subaru working on this rwd fun machine for a while. Don't know if it's to tease the bejesus out of us, or for Toyota to claim they are a fun car company who's got more colors color besides beige.

The new concept out blows the original one out of the water, love the upswept back end look, the big grill, and above all the fact it's one of the first RWD layouts in 6 years, and the first good looking RWD layout in almost 12 years.

The downside: Subaru's one looks hot hot hot, but I'm sure Toyota doesn't want to be shown up, and it'll most likely come out watered down. Also, Toyota may not be the one selling it, rather it'll be Scion, which means the sticker price is what you pay, and I don't see this thing coming out at 18K, if it does, I will be shocked.

This car IMO could bring back a huge chunk of potential male buyers ( no offense, but the tC IS a sorority chicks car, and if you like the mini fridge xB with wheels, you have horrible taste.)

I would certainly be interested in one. I'm getting to that point where a 15 year old car is losing some of it's thrills for me, and I'd love to have a sporty, reliable car that doesn't have me on a 30 year payment plan to afford it.

I know I know, this is a Camaro/Firebird site, but it's also an automotive site, so I'm sure you gus got opinions outside of the norm for imports.
