The safest way without worry of backfire is a dry kit! I wouldnt spray more then a 100 shot on a dry kit. There is no fuel being sprayed into the intake and therefor no fuel puddle for a backfire.. Thats what I would do if you are not 100% sure.. Get use to spraying a dry shot before you add the fuel portion to make it a wet kit..
