Tough Mudder Englishtown Nov 12 2011

The teamwork and camaraderie I saw at this event and as you'll see in the photos was unlike anything I'd seen before.

More info about the event can be found here ( http://toughmudder.com/events/tri-st...11-course-map/) , but it is modeled after British Special Forces training by actual members of the special forces, with 19 obstacles in 12 miles. Of course they added a few others in between some stretches of running so that we wouldn't be let down. About 25% didn't finish the event at all, and about 50% skipped at least one obstacle - The water obstacles were among the most popular to be skipped since the water was 37 degrees. It was by far the most fun I've ever had. You can come as a spectator as well.

This is how all the start groups began the competition, after the Tough Mudder pledge and the national anthem. This happened every 20 minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=426fkvs0_bc

Who's down? Price increase takes effect May 15. It currently costs $100.
