It makes you "WONDER" why is Chevrolet knew about this problem (and had a fix for it) why Pontiac never installed them on the late model birds. I also installed a small support bar (located on the passenger side hood support) that attached to the lip on the firewall. Never could find out what it does, but some late model 3rd Gens have and most do not.
