I race with a guy who has a '78 with stock rear springs and slapper bars that does 10's and hooks. I can check out his car to see what he is using front and back. I had slide-a-links on my '77 but it was only a 12.50 car. The biggest issue is weight transfer. I know Cal Trac wants you to have at least 5" of front travel for the rear suspension to work properly. I have Cal Tracs w/split mono leaf and Rancho 9000's on my Nova and they work excellent but I see stock style suspension cars in the 10's all day. I had to get Moroso trick springs for the front with Comp Eng 3 ways.
