comp gears (drag racing gears) are made of a softer compound of metal, to prevent from shearing teeth off ( made to absorb high rpm launches ) and short term running. they are NOT made to withstand highway driving and such which will produce higher temps and running those temps for long periods of time.

the street gears are are composed of a harder metal, which will withstand those long period of high temperatures.

if you drive your car on the street....buy the street gears. period!!!
