Lt1 w/ Lm1 will sound horrible. if using the Lm1, I would at least install a dynomax bullet muffler or 2 in the intermediate pipe.
I have heard lt1s w/ lm1 and no cats, lt1s w/ open headers sound better than they do with lm1.
here is a tip.
install your lm1, spray paint a line from header collector to where the I-pipe goes over axle.
after car warmed up, take car for a good beating. then look to see where the paint stopped burning off. at that point where paint is still clear, install bullet muffler.
(this burn off line is a old timers trick, supposed to be ideal placement for muffler to provide the most torque.)
