Although I miss the old battlefields (1942.. but I LOVED LOVED LOVED BF2) we know that it'll only be more about visuals then game play nowadays (Hence why call of duty releases a game every year.. the game play gets boring yet CS:S still has alot of players and BF2 had a good amount of players and you could play for.. DAYS. BF3 is more of a compromise, I really enjoy some of the maps.. but they will never compete with that of say.. Wake Island or Strike at Karkand from 2. IMO Strike is the best map i've ever played second to Dust2 in CS:S because it's so unbiased and ALWAYS a blast to play in. Still though, EA didn't do a bad job on BF3 (BFBC2 was a tester of the new gadgets and I absolutely hated that game). You can kill people with pretty much any weapon without all the silly LOLOL I GOT AN AC 130 KEKEKE Look at my NUKE LOLOLOL. No, this is battlefield.. save that crappy 12 year old stuff for Infinity Ward. It's still moving away from tactical FPS (squads were really squads back then... commanders actually had a role in changing battles.. and classes were important). I did like Assault being mashed up with medic, that's sweet. Snipers are i'd say a little more difficult to use.. but still fun. Support is usually **** until higher levels.. and engineer is well.. engineer.. it's a hit or miss. Attack Choppers are more usable now, and Jets I haven't seen have a map large enough to support the carnage (COUGH COUGH WAKE ISLAND >_>)
As to relate to this thread.. Call of Duty is boring after the first few weeks and only addicts go play to prestige because they haven't played a real PC Battlefield.
