Adding HP to the ZL1 is easy in the aftermarket but GM would need to get some additional paperwork done and likely recertify the emissions cert. Only issue you run into is that they likely won't push power beyond the ZR1.

I think theres something everyones forgetting. These aren't directly from the factory cars, Shelby is building them with FoMoCo backing in this, it's essentially an aftermarket build car.
GM builds the ZR1, and ZL1 direct from the factory to the show room floor. Give Hennessey ( spell check) a little time with the new ZL1, and it'll be back on top ( though I usually don't condone to his work ethics)
I'm still waiting for GM to produce cars that need to come out the back door, and/or special RPO codes only a handful-o-people know.......but a man can only wish.
