12 bolt is the most efficient, I believe the S60 is slightly more efficient than the 9" due to the increased tooth contact on the 9". The 9" in my 98 has a billet center(daytona style pinion support), 35 spline rifle drilled axles with star cut flanges and billet yoke. Best 60' in the car before I got it was a 1.18 on the rear tires, no breakage. My car is also a tick under 3000 lbs w/driver which may be a factor in durability.
