There probably aren’t a whole lot of people that would want to downgrade from a 2002 Z28 to a 3rd gen. However, I used my Z28 a total of 3 times all year because I have been so busy and the weather was pretty crappy last summer. Although its cool to have such a nice car doing absolutely nothing sitting in my garage I have some home improvements that I would like to tackle on my house that cost money. Therefore, I will probably be selling my car in the spring. The intent is to use some money towards home renovations, but since I would like to have some sort of toy, perhaps keep some of the money I get for selling my car towards a boat or an old 3rd gen or something. My first car was a 1988 IROC with a 305TPI and a 700R4 I never liked that combo of a 305 with an Auto. I always wanted either a 350TPI Auto or a 305TPI 5-speed. Once I sell my 2002 Z28 I am going to start looking for late 80’s IROC’s and Trans AM’s

Then I thought, rather than selling one car and sitting on cash while looking for an old 3rd gen, perhaps there is someone here who has a nice 3rg gen 350TPI Auto or 305TPI manual that would like to trade their car and $$ for my 2002 Z28. A long shot I know but worth posting.

I would be interested in a Black, Blue or Burgundy late 80’s IROC or Trans Am with the engine trans combo I just mentioned. I don’t like White or Red cars all that much. I Prefer black or gray interior and it must have T-tops. Ultimately I would like the car to be rather clean and in good working condition with minimal aftermarket parts. Bone stock would be my preference.

My car is a 2002 Silver Z28 with 42k miles which recently received a TR230 cam and brand new 243 heads with the sodium filled valves. AAM 4.10’s and Kooks long tubes & catless Y-pipe with a B&B quad tip catback. It also has a true Z06 clutch and SLP Lid & MAF

So anyone with a clean late 80’s F body or boat that would be interested in trading what you have + some cash, let me know, perhaps we could strike a deal.
