I was going to shift steering rack towards the driver side wheel 1" and just run a 1" longer tierod, but was worried about bumpsteer. but was able to cut steering shaft ujoint & and relocate closer to frame rail, the big bulky stock ujoint and attachment coupling was my issue.

Look below, You can see I have just enuff clearance between the stock tierod and frame, once relocate the linkage over, I'll have 3"8-1/2" clearance.
