I disagree... will only collect oil if you have a oil leaking pos... and the wrap is made to hold heat.. thats the point!!! The more heat retention the higher the exhaust velocity which helps speed up the spooling of the turbos.
Aso for cracking issues, My stainless is .065 & thicker, so seriously doubt I will have any issues with that.
Most guys jet hot coat mild steel due to the fact that wrapping the pipes will promote moisture retention & rust pipes out. This is why Im building every part out of stainless.
