We do heads, we normally don't do any bottom end work. But I have sen multiple guys do bare blocks.......

For this job I'm sure you would have the certifications just to be able to diagnose it. But no you don't need to be certified to get diag time.

There's more to it but I don't know, I have all my certs from BMW so I never really thought about it
