We have to maintain a good relationship with the places we go if we ever want to go back. I have to call and give them a reasonably close headcount a few days in advance. I can't tell a place on friday or saturday we have 30+ people coming and then no show. So that means the call might have to be made with the best info available at the time. The forecast for today got worse everyday this week so we made the logical call.
We set rain dates for a reason. Club meets are better when the weather is nice. They are more enjoyable and better attended.
