The problem people have with "flushes" is what I told you on the VM.
People have 150k miles on their car, they notice a slip and go to a shop. Shop, wanting the money, straps the machine to the car and replaces the fluid. The dirty fluid was so thick full of **** and dirt that it acted like a thicker fluid, allowing the pressure to maintain basic shifting.
Replace all that dirty fluid with brand new clean stuff, and whamo. Your little slip has now turned into not going into 2nd gear.
Replacing trans fluid, as well as most fluids, is a maintenance and not a fix-it.
