They released the brochure for the ALL GM Car Show and Go for this Sunday. On it you'll find all types of Drag racing classes and the top 75 cars will win a trophy.
What gets under my skin, is that the prices went from $35 (to race and show) to $50 for the same event this year. In this economy, do they figure that if they raise the prices to cover their costs, they WILL NOT COME. Sad to say, but I cannot cover the entry fee of $50, plus gas (about $20) and food and drink for the day.
Why not raise the food and drink prices, but keep the entry fees where most guys can handle them. Everybody seems to be upping their show costs (most of them are $20 or more at the gate) and then complain that not many cars show up. DAH, I wish we could ask our bosses for MORE money because what we take home just doesn't cover it. JUST MY RANT!
