the ls1 is ok, but it has its issues, Mainly piston slap, the problem that arose in mainly 01 and early 02 where GM "overbored" some of the cylinders and with the all aluminum set-up, everything rattles around, it burns oil, about 1qt every 2000 miles. I think i will try selling the ls1 once its out, or it may get put in another project car by that time. the 6cyl camaro will be getting a 305 v8 that i have just sitting around. I pulled that motor out of my 79 vette when i got it(no clue why a 305 was in the vette, hence why i put in a 96 LT1
) but that 305 hauled ass plus with the right hand drive conversion i'll be doing on the 86, i dont want the engine too complicated.
