I think another thing we have in our favor (at least for me) is that the ground is pretty dry. I checked my sump pump well and it was dry, i poured some water in there to make sure the pump was still working. Good thing I checked, the GFCI was tripped
when I checked a little while later the rest of the water that was in there the pump cant get out was gone. I have a high water table where I am, so this is good news for me, a least the ground will be able to hold a lot of the water we are expected to get
