i dont want to get too off topic but, youre correct. converters certainly have come a long way. i had a 3400 in the vette. drove like stock at part throttle and got me 1.49-1.5 60' times. Now i have a 4200 in it. Noticeably looser than the 3400 but still plenty streetable. and I've seen 1.40 60's with it  alot of the LSX guys will go with anything from 3200-3800 normally.
