Absolutely correct, without cast iron liners, a cylinder bridge ( like what high horsepower honda's use) and a couple other goodies, they will literally split in half from the vibrations. Also, GM produced an HD block to correct that, but by the time it came out, GM ditched the Cozy Vega program, and scrapped thousands of regular complete cozy engines sitting in warehouses, and the HD blocks are worth their weight in gold.

600 lbs. difference stock. Cozy Vega is 2700 lbs. stock, Opel is 2100 with the 1.9 Litre, and in the teens with the 1.1 Litre engine and options missing.

DZ 302 Camaro - 0.10 hp/lbs. ( w/ 400hp and 3,765 lbs.)
Opel/Cozy engine - 0.12 hp/lbs ( w 240hp and 1,900 lbs.)
