I went out with a couple friends to check out the damage and try to clean up the bay a bit by grabbing what we could, or putting it on shore. We launched in Waretown, and headed up along the mainland to Mantoloking and cut over to the barrier island side, and came along south until the inlet. The mainland was not hit nearly as hard, and the main damage was to the older, lower lying areas with low bulkheads or to bayfront property. The damage on the barrier island side was much more localized, with most of Seaside Park and other areas flooded but not completely destroyed like areas of Ortley and Mantoloking (this is from a bay point of view, not along the ocean).
If you look, you can recognize a lot of the pictures that Adam has posted in mine, just from another angle. The entire album (waterproof camera means nowhere near the quality of Adam's pictures) can be found here

Below is where the floating house used to be.
Mantoloking Bridge
Other side of the bridge
Other areas fared slightly better
The house below has been here in the middle of the bay for years. It's just west of Normandy Beach.
That's Normandy in the background
The next set of shots is from Barnegat Inlet. This one is along the jetty looking across to Island Beach State Park.
There are many sandy cliffs now along the bay as well, not just along the ocean.
Tices Shoal survived, along with it's staircase.
These boats at Tices were anchored, so they actually were visiting Island Beach.
Pier by Seaside Park
More shots of Seaside Park closer to Rt 37
This is right next to Rt. 37
That white thing next to the road is a boat.
Look on top of the cargo container.
These houses are on the mainland just south of Toms River in Bayville (next to Martell's)
Martell's itself
Sunken boat just east of Sunrise Beach in Lanoka Harbor (the only one I came across)
