i jstu hate the way that they create this big buck image of teh hobby, it almost serves to scare away potential do-it-yerselfers. maybe we shoudl start our own show, we will even go uber low budget and put it on public access. we will show how a few people who are reasonably brite and willing to try can accomplish tons of cool stuff with a wrench set from sears and a set of jack stands.

One of the guys and I from the 'Slant-Six' club I run, are doing something a bit like that on converting from points to Electronic Ignition. Mind you, we're only doing a Computerized 'Slide Show' of photos I've captioned, with a brief narrative, but it's definitely geared more toward the average person, and truly low buck upgrade, than those overblown Boyd Coddington productions, or any of the $5,000.00 'Budget Build-Ups' the mags like to promote as affordable
I suppose a 'local access' program would be a start, but the question is, who is knowledgeable enough to put something credible together, featuring our genre of cars, as opposed to the high buck stuff seen on the 'Discovery Channel' stuff.
