I think you are being a little harsh, GM needs to streamline themselves before they start making "odd" cars again. So while you would care that this will be a SS and perhaps ruin the image of the SS, the mass consumer that will
actually buy this car, has no ****s to give about the heritage or that BS.
If GM catered to the views of this site, they would have a line up of gutted, RWD, fast cars that no one buys. And a diesel colarado, that would sell like hot cakes
