Maybe they did it because it looks so docile and like a rental car to most on here. Most people don't know **** about the historical significance of any name for a car. They hear corvette and think of a fast sleek 2 door sports car. Camaro as affordable muscle. Impala is a nice riding family car. So you have this performance sedan that you stick any old name on and it can get lost in the new car world. You throw the "SS" at it and most people will know that an ss is a high performing car, even if it looks like nothing more than a rental car lumina. That's my slightly biased, mostly uneducated midday thought on the topic
Mike: I think a brighter, more energetic color and black wheels would really set the car off better. I also can't tell if it has the painted lower side skirts.
