because drag racing is a direct, head-to-head competition. it's very quick, most races are decided by hundredths of a second. how often do you get that in NASCAR? when there's 50 cars on the track running around in a circle 500 times, like i said, that's boring. |
I can think of several races decided by a few hundreths in the last few seasons. There is something about drivers going head to head bouncing off of each other coming down to the wire that is more exciting than watching a top fuel or funny car lauch, smoke the tires, or blow up, and coast 3/4 of the track. And it takes sooooo long in between races. There is way more drama and competition in NASCAR. They have to use strategy with tires and fuel, make pit stops etc. Drag racing= green light go! WOW! Don't get me wrong, its ok if I do it, but as far as spectating, I would rather watch NASCAR on TV or in person before sitting through a whole drag racing event.
