Yeah, I remember going to a Pontiac Dealership in 1990 near the shore area, and they had several SLP modified Trans Ams on the floor with made up signs telling you what this NEW performance package was all about. It had the Runners/ Prom Chip/ Stainless Headers/ Performance Exhaust System and a Cold Air Box which gave you an extra 50 hp and was "STREET LEGAL PERFORMANCE". Back then the L98 Birds only had 240-45 hp, so adding on 50 hp was a big deal. I remember when they had SLP day at Raceway Park, and filled up the entire day with SLP equipment cars. Their earlier stuff was pretty good, because at that time there wasen't too much performance stuff that was street legal and produced real horsepower.
