will 285 like you said fit ok on a 11inch wheel though? How tall should my front tires be? how about rear?
and im still slightly confused, if my car came stock with 16s, now has 17s but has a lower profile like th eone i said before..my speedo is good or bad?

the tread width on a 285 is 11.22" as i mentioned above, that should fit fine on an 11" wide rim. A 275-40-17 is 25.66" tall overall. and a 285-40-17 is 25.96" tall overall. A 315-35-17 is 25.68" tall overall. Stock sizes on all the tires. All the stock tire sizes available on thirdgen and fourth gens are in the 25.6" to 26.1" overall height range.
the speedo will be fine. at most it will be off a mph or two (will read low) going with a slightly taller tire.
