damn, I haven't owned much in my life that would pass emissions testing I don't think.........

Dropping a 350 in my YJ this weekend, dual exhaust, no cats, no worries.......
its not really emissions so much for 96+ cars more like plug and play BUT like i said i deleted all my codes shortly before going there so the computer hadnt run all its tests and gotten completely operational by the time i got to dmv and through inspection so i failed for the readyness tests...not really a sniffer but still considered part of emissions.
I hate this state's inspection. Consider yourself lucky that they do the plug and play. For me it's a half hour of car abuse. They keep getting me so I'm stuck working this quarter instead of finishing school! **** NJ. I'm going to get a "residence" somewhere else just so I can register the car out of state with NO EMISSIONS TESTS. My car is clean with the cat but hey, you don't have a damn inspection cover over the torque converter.... I'm only glad they haven't asked me to pull the hood pins and lift the hood . Then they'de fail me for sure.
One wonders if it's possible to install 2 ecms and hack it so that it says the BS tests were completed and that the car has never been turned off . The other computer could control the car . If I had a OBDII car you could be I'd be further along with that idea.
