Interesting car crash and a lawsuit that emerged. Lawyer made his name in the 90's for successfully suing Porsche on the 911 turbo, citing the car was waaayyy to hard to control for the novice driver. Subsequently, the 911 turbo took a hiatus from the US market and when it returned, Porsche offered driver courses for the buyers....

911 and the CGT are two very different cars. One is has engine mounted in the middle and the other has it mounted aft of the rear tires.
A lot of people have come out talking about the car, but anyone who has had any seat time in the car have praised it. Yeah, it's a little froggy, but what car isn't with that much power and such little weight?
911 Turbo cars that you are talking about are the trailing arm type that were notorious for killing Yuppies left and right. They ran into the same issues that made the Corvair of the 60's such a "dangerous" vehicle to drive. Add more power, and there were issues.
Also, the new 918 hybrid-electric supercar that Porsche is making uses the same carbon tub set up as the CGT.
