That 70 was quite pristine, however that level is not unobtainable on a decent budget. It's a matter of spending the money on the right tools and then taking your time. Now I can definately do that caliber of work and spend the same amount of money as I did on my car....I just have better equipment now. Plus the fact that I can paint my own car now gives me an extra $5k to play with for next time.


Prevo.....you're right the vendors were quite disappointing. The fact that I was more interested in looking at the knives and swords that were for sale than the junk parts is pretty pathetic. I only made it through the side on the Goodyear lane however. The other side may have had better parts for all I know. 3 hours of walking, dragging my girlfriend with me (who didn't complain once), and getting sunburn was enough.

I got lucky with the judging I think. The guy really knew his stuff. I came back from the swap meet at 3 and all the cars around me were judged but mine wasn't. I had to go to the tower and drag someone out to my car to get it judged. Guess it's a good thing I did.
