10 speed is going to be a really expensive item to fix when it breaks (and it will). I had seen an article a few years ago where a bunch of car engineers were going through the facts that a 7 to 8 speed is optimal in a gas engine car or truck. The less power you have, the more you need more transmission speeds.

I wonder if Chevy fixed the problem with the 5th gen ZL1's power - they never performed in the 1/4 mile as the 580hp should have done. I know the 6th gen is going to be 200lbs lighter and have 60 more hp, but if it doesn't push 125mph it is going to be an issue.
