awesome. Easton PA isn't that far from one of the job-site locations I work at in Phillipsburg so that could totally be an option. I'm starting to build a small list at the moment of possibilities, so I will put them on it. Thanks. My thinking is that if I can pair my own research with some customer's reviews and good word-of-mouth advice, maybe I'll have the engine arriving at a shop by December for disassembly.
As for bigger primaries, that could one day be an option, but that might add a big chunk of money into the current rebuild project. If something clean/used on the internet comes up for a decent price that would help, but I would also have to build a new Y-pipe to mate to it because my setup now uses the v-band couplings that I tig welded on. Years ago I researched headers options and took the chance on these ebay 1.75" long tubes. I remember some discussions on it. I will give the headers a real close look when the engine is out this winter, but somehow these ebay headers have seemingly held up really well structurally, but the "stainless" has of course developed stains. I could probably brighten them up this winter on a bench with a polisher, but they will stain again. I wouldn't wrap them, but if there's a fancy heat coating that's hardcore durable I'd be on board for that possibly! ..... see how its already snowballing!
