having a goal of military service is admirable.
get yourself started on becoming a civilian pilot before you go in. that will be a useful first step in deciding how much you actually like flying a plane for extended periods of time.
if all else fails you can start working on them adn see if you can maybe sneak one of those little motors out the back door
