What type of music you listen too plays a factor also.
Personally, I don't see the need to remove the rear seats and go crazy with subs unless you plan on doing competitions. But I always like my stuff to be hidden or to take up as little as interior space that I can.
I have a single 10" alpine type R's in my Silverado and my LT1. Perfect for me, cause I'm a rock/metal guy. Used to have two JL W3' 12's in the well of my 91 bird before I built my 12" stealth. I put it on the meter once years ago for the hell of it and hit 143 db's with a Kicker ZR 240 amp pushing them.
Also been through homemade dual 12's bandpass, sealed dual 12's, dual 10 bandpass in my previous Ranger. Each will give a different style for what your into.
