I'm always looking for ways to save money these days. When I lit the pilot light for the garage heater it seemed to be larger then normal and you could actually hear the difference in volume. I looked for a way to turn down the pilot flame on line and came across this article, which I found very interesting. We run three pilots during the winter. One for the garage heater, one for the gas fireplace and one for the hot water tank. The hot water tanks pilot helps heat the tank so not a problem. This year I will be lighting the heater and fireplace when needed to see if there is a savings to be had. Here is the article if interested.
