There must be a new variation because the instructions indicated my type of filler cap didn't require any air bleeding. Just fill up and go. But it works. Lifted my Buick up and down with ease. A little slower in each direction than I imagined, but still far easier than jacks and stands.
Yeaaa it's oddly easy to overfill the first time. The reservoir "cap" allows air to bleed off if unthreaded a bit which is intentional. I'm not sure if yours is the same as mine. I had mine a bit too tight and the reservoir attempted to implode but thankfully I noticed it.

I'm fine with the speed as I wouldn't want it to operate that quickly anyway.
