It is definitely a fun cool opportunity to get a bit of heavy driving time in with your car. you dont need to go out and buy special tires or do anything extreme to the car. really just show up, pass tech, follow the rules, help out, and push the car a bit harder than you would do so on the street. the run courses are short so you wont have to worry about overheating or killing away brake pads and tires in a day.
I still plan on going. drove my car into work today and things are feeling really good with it so I'm partially ready for Oct 20.
