I just spoke to the Director of the Event and he told me that last year the entire Saturday show was a failure. He said it was POURING RAIN from 7:00am until 2:00pm, with many small bridges flooded from the 3 1/2" of rain. Sunday was just a mud field.

I would like to go for the Standard of Excellence judging, which is a pinpoint class to examine the smallest details. Of course it comes at a PRICE, which is $75.00. You will not get your score OR award until Sunday. If you don't go back Sunday, they did mail your award to you (in the past). NOW the cost is $20.00. ADD that to the price of admission-tolls-gas-3 hours one way-and food. The condition of the infield could be another factor (Mud or Dust) depending on the weather conditions during the past week. It's a nice sounding event, GM NATIONALS, but WAAAAAY TOO many factors could make this a high cost waste of time! Just my
