Is the interference near the "rag joint"? There is a rag joint eliminator that helps with some header installs - but I'm not familiar with the details of the V6 setup. There is also a "pinned" connection in the steering shaft that can be loosened up by driving the shear pins out of it, making the length of the shaft slightly longer if required. That again has worked with some LT1 headers.... not sure about your setup.
