Even for novices, the cornering loads and G forces are easily high enough to pose a serious risk for SUVs, trucks and vehicles with a lot of mass and relatively high roll centers. That's why most groups and tracks do not allow them even in modified form.

Stock 4th Gen F-bodies have surprising amounts of body roll and brake dive on road courses- especially with OEM suspension and ride height. This isn't because they're bad cars, it's just a matter of the cornering forces acting on the relatively heavy mass of the car and the grip level of large sticky tires.

It's all about the physics.
