My neighbor right across the street from me just passed away from COVID yesterday afternoon (about 70 years old). He was a metalworker/welder by trade for like 30+ years and had a lung transplant 10 years ago, so he was high risk. was on a ventilator for 9 days at morristown hospital and the tough decision had to be made just yesterday afternoon. he loved to go bowling and hunt in his retirement, and help out the neighborhood with projects. he took enjoyment coming over to my garage often when I was working on projects and chatting with me about his old cars and stories. he was a good guy and will be missed. crappy thing is that the funeral home will only allow 3 people total (his wife and her sister and brother) and only for a grand total of 15 minutes. no mass, no actual funeral, etc etc. He never got to get a ride in my car like he wanted to once springtime arrived; perhaps I'll do a burnout in his memory in the street between our houses.

be well everyone.
Sorry to hear about your neighbor. I work at Morristown and can honestly say that I think it's the best place to be if you have this crappy virus. That doesn't relieve the pain of losing our loved ones though.
