6-0 or 5-1
Rangers / Devils thread #6 this season. Both teams are playing well, can the rangers blank the Devils this season 6-0?

Here's my take:
The Rangers are HOT right now, able to pull together their offense and defense to win games. The question is, are they like most teams and just streaky now, with an end to that streak sooner or later? Or have they finally figured out how to pull all those egos together to function as a team? No denying their success of late.
The Devils are in one of those weird times where you just don't know what team is going to show up. They could win 5-1 one night, and loose the next. I think some of it depends on how much Sutter kicks their butts and treats them like 8 year olds - if he collars every one of the players, they win. If he treats them like adults, they fall apart. So far the history between those teams (for this season) favors the Rangers. Being a Devils fan I'm both rooting for them AND think they can ruin the sweep. Will they? I just don't know - and that answer might be telling enough. :P They are sure going to miss Elias, going into the playoffs.

Patrik Elias, Current Status: Left knee injury, day-to-day
He's definately sitting out tonights game. Maybe he'll be back next week. Recovering from knee injuries are always problematic - nothing may be broken, but sore muscles and swelling can persist for a while.

Rangers only play well when they play good teams, they lose to every team below .500

Either way it'll be a good game to watch, probably one of those "one mistake will cost you the game" ones.

Exactly what happened. Always a nail biter when these two teams play.
Best part of the game were the hits. No fights though...

Yeah there's no call for that, no matter what shirt a person is wearing. That's one of the reasons why I don't go to sporting events in Philly - don't like any of their teams, so I'd show up in the wrong colors and probably get a beer bottle to the head.
