LS1 Cam Install Kit?
I am looking into the shopping list for the summer and I was wondering if anyone has a complete list of everything I want/need to do a proper cam swap. Does anyone know of a place that has everything packaged up and ready to go?

You won't really find EVERYTHING in a kit... but some places do make it easy.
IE: This Tick Performance Pollutor kit:
Quote:
Our Standard Cam Kit includes the Polluter Camshaft, Patriot Performance Gold Dual Springs (rated for .650" lift), titanium retainers, Super 7 Machined locks, spring seats, seals and hardened chromemoly 7.400" pushrods.
Our Deluxe Cam Kit includes everything in our standard kit with the addition of an LS2 Timing Chain and a ported/blueprinted LS6 Oil Pump. Choose the deluxe kit if you're wanting everything needed to get the job done RIGHT.

because "go to thunder racing" is a lazy response...
In my experience, thunder racing sucks balls. Go to WS6store or texas speed.
Assembled heads
camshaft
hardened pushrods
ls6 ported oil pump
ls2 timing chain or adjustable if you get a custom cam
new crank bolt (get the ARP bolt if you reuse the stock pulley or the 126mm ls3 bolt for an U/D)
new head bolts/studs
timing cover gasket
(2) water pump gaskets
(2) oil filters
(2) head gaskets
(2) header gaskets
If you are not getting assembled heads...
valve springs/retainers/locks/valves
spring compressor installation tool
(16) extending pen magnets
Optional:
spark plugs
roller rockers
ls7 lifters (get them, you dont want to do this **** twice)
oil pump o-ring
U/D pulley do it
Tools:
3 claw crank pulley puller
pulley installation tool
24mm socket + breaker bar for crank bolt
expendable ratchet for tightening the 15mm head bolts
Torque wrench
oil filter wrench
stubby 15mm wrench for removing the power steering assembly
jack/stands/duh
Fluids:
coolant
rtv sealant
(12) quarts oil
Assembly lube
WD 40
beer
Misc:
plastic containers/bags for organization
coolant catch
oil catch
lots of rags and paper towels
$75 ready for when you break the oil sending unit + $12 for the oil sending socket

Pace and Scoggins dickey have kits also, T/R is kinda high price wise. Other option is to take the list of parts from T/R and punch them in to GMpartsdirect. Keep in mind almost all the LS1 gaskets are re-useable (depending on condition of course) so be careful not to damage them. Also do an oil pump and timing chain if you have the cash, save you time in the future. Also do yourself a favor and get an ARP crank bolt so it can be re-used. Also definately DO NOT re-use the oil pump O-ring and be damn careful putting it in. I would also change the front main seal.
Re-Useable gaskets
Throttle body
Intake manifold
Valve covers (I'd buy new ones cause if they fall out they rarely go back in)
Timing cover
Cam retainer plate
Gaskets to definately replace
Water pump
Oil pump O-ring
Front main seal
EGR and AIR (if you still have it)
