that was one wild ride. i wonder what goes through your mind when teh thing is grinding the cage down right above your head? the spark show was great, glad to see teh driver moving around after he collected himself for a moment.

That sucks... but kind of funny at the end with the electronics just chillin and swinging around. He's got a bunch of nice toys in that thing, like the thermocoupled EGTs.
That wreck is major reason why I like radials with stiff sidewalls!

figues you would notice that over teh look on teh guys face in teh rear view mirror. that was an "oh ****" and a half look.
i have been watching the vid over and over, can't decide if that is a blower or turbo spool you can here. definateyl a whistle of something applying pressure to the car. since it was a mustang adn had such a strong exhaust note i would suspect it is a centrifugal blower.

Yeah, I think it's a turbo too. No non-geek drag racer would have EGTs on a non-turbo car  . With big turbo's a lot of exhaust sound can get by. They aren't what you'd call the most efficient turbo setups but what high horsepower turbo dragster cares about gas milage  .

Yeah we were there that day (opening day 2 weeks ago) and that clown held us up from running for a while, luckily it was pretty dead and I still got like 9 runs in (could've had more) and a new best. 8)
