hatch struts

rear hatch struts....

My rear hatch struts are kaputz........now my 88 IROC originally came with a 3 piece small wing, I now have a 90-92 high rise style wing on it now...i'm wondering should I get the hatch struts that are meant for the 90-92 car? or are they all the same?

If you go to Auto Zone or Pep Boys, the part numbers are all the same for 82-92 Camaro/Firebirds. I just think the only difference is in the brand. "You get what you pay for"

yeah they should be all the same, but if not...get the 85-90 t/a or gta ones, if they are year/application specific, those would be the strongest considering the weight of the early style aero spoilers

Same part numbers I believe. I need to replace mine in the spring as well.....tired of holding my hatch open with my head when I put the t-tops in the bag.

I bought a set of hatch struts for ~30 off of ebay. Now it stays up, even in the cold!
