wow Bentley

all if this makes one Brookands

Bently Brooklands: the whole back end has to be assembled by hand because the shape is just too complex for a mechine to understand, 16 cows had to lay down their lives to produce enough leather for this one car, and it takes 125 hours to stitch it all together, it takes 2 days to pollish the stainless steel trim pieces, and 130 hours to make the roof lining. To make the carpet, 16 sheep had to get a haircut. And for the dashboard, 108 sq. ft. of 80 yr old walnut was needed. It takes 9 hours to completely assemble a Toyota Yaris, the Brooklands takes 14 times longer, and before options, it starts at $240,000. The special "Flying B" emblem is $2,136. Ceramic brakes are getting on for $20,000. ($=british pounds, idk about the dollar value)

After readin it all, i felt like i had to share the knowledge at 3 a.m. Even if i did have the money for the car and insurance, i couldnt imagine driving it once.

I saw something on the speed channel i believe showing a build up of one of those cars. Really shows you why those cars are so expensive. The amount of craftsmanship that goes into each one is incredible. When you buy one youre not just buying a pos with an expensive name

i know, its completely random, lol. i thought that some of the projects i did/doing was alot of work, all that work for just one car, i always thought that Bentley's were done in a factory like any other car, i never really thought that they were hand built like a Bugatti or anything

Yeah well it may not justify that price but at least the buyer knows that it is truely a piece of art. And the Brooklands is beautiful i've seen a few near me and i just stare every time they pass.

I'm gonna get myself a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado convertible, hot pink, with whale skin hubcaps and all leather cow interior and big brown baby seal eyes for headlights. Yeah.

Understand that this is what Cadilliac used to be some 50-60 years ago....
Not just a Benz or BMW type car...but an elite vehicle. My, has that star fallen.
